Deep Thoughts About a Classic Musical Variety Show and a Folk Song About Sentimentality

If you recall, back around 1975, "The Lawrence Welk Show" presented us with a wonderfully-wholesome family music variety program, that we can now reminisce about and say ~ 'those were the days.. my friend; and who knew (that in this day-in-age), that they wouldn't make 'em like they used to, regarding that kind of entertainment, now, do they? And how coincidental is it, that they sang the folk song "Those Were the Days" on the show (in the posted video, below)?

"The Lawrence Welk Show" seemed so wholesome and family-friendly, with so much talent and not-to-mention, beauty; with the singers ages ranging from very young to pretty mature. Every Saturday night, Mr. Welk's musical entertainment production allowed for us viewers to sit-back and enjoy the beauty, the skits, the scenery (with a playful and elegant atmosphere), that made for a wonderful music variety hour, that we can now, reflect upon with great nostalgia; just as the performers on the show, gathered together in 1975 and sang "Those Were the Days" in such a coincidental way, perhaps, not realizing that at that specific moment, future viewers, like you or I, could reflect upon with great nostalgia and say: yes; my friend, those (really were) indeed, the days in the 1950's; the 60'; 70's and even 1980's that we can now say, are nostalgically wonderful, in such a delightful and classic way, regarding the times of "The Lawrence Welk Show" and the music and dance memories of the program.

So, now, here is the video of the show in 1975; with the performers nostalgically singing about singing and dancing in a song, which coincidentally is in regards to nostalgia.. and now, you have been reading about "The Lawrence Welk Show" in this blog post about those wonderful nostalgic times. How coincidental and sentimental is that, my friend?

On the surface, "Those Were The Days" is simply an old folk song (composed in the early 1900's) about sentimentality. However, looking deeper into the song performed on "The Lawrence Welk Show" (in 1975) and how we could take the performance of it now, the song may have a double-backed-meaning, if we analyze and look deeply into it.

So, here is an analogy of the 1975 performance, and how coincidental we could see it, that it could reflect the same feeling of sentimentality in this day-in-age because it was sung about the very same sentimentality, that the singers initially performed on the show in 1975. ~

(1.) "The Lawrence Welk Show" performers were singing a song which was written about the nostalgic singing and dancing of (a past) earlier time; which, (2.) coincidentally fits with the (present) nostalgic singing and dancing of "The Lawrence Welk Show" ~ because, it may coincidentally reflect our current nostalgic feeling of "The Lawrence Welk Show" of our past.

What are your thoughts about the above analogy, or opinion about "The Lawrence Welk Show" that may give an idea as to the depth of your nostalgia for it. (In other words ~ Did you dig it in the 50's, the 60's, the 70's, or do you feel sentimental about it, for all time?)

Also.. Here is Mary Hopkin's 1968 version of the song "Those Were The Days" ~

What Are Your Expectations About Having Expectations?

Do you expect the best to happen, in regards to having a positively awesome day, when you begin your day? Or -- Does your expectation of 'awesomeness', somehow, develop into a 'so-so' kind of day? Do you truly set the bar high, in regards to your daily expectations and keep it positive? Or -- Does your initial positive attitude, fizzle-out, by midday?

Do you believe in the power of expecting positive results? Or -- Do you believe that there is kind of a correllation, between your expectations and a positively awesome day -- however, if you are going to have a 'so-so' day, having a positive attitude can help (in general), regarding, not focusing negatively on your 'so-so' day... but, specifically, your attitude does not have a great bearing on what type of day you may have?

Could Having an Amazing Day Be Greatly Related to Perspective and Gratitude?

Randy Gage offers a cool list of tips, that we can habitually apply in our daily lives, that may be very beneficial in creating an amazing day (in the video, below).

What we focus on, is certainly a big influence on, what we attract. And gratefulness, may very-well, help in attracting more things to be grateful for. Taking action and changing one's perspective, may be very-key, for overcoming obstacles of a negative viewpoint; towards, a more positive state of being -- that, can lead to more positive things to focus upon; therefore, allowing positivity to flow, rather than, be blocked by a negative attitude or 'woe-is-me mindset' -- which is, sometimes hard to do, but, is pretty-well essential, for positive attraction involved in positive perspective for having an amazing day. Focusing on 'what could go right?' instead of -- ' what could go wrong?' can make a big difference in one's day. After-all, if we are looking for 'the right' -- then, we may very-well ring it better, than, if we were looking for 'the wrong' -- Would you also say, that is true?

In the video -- Randy, seems pretty positive about his cool list of tips. And I have faith, that you will also see, how much Randy's list makes perfect-positive-sense.

Have you had a very positive experience, with changing your daily focus, to attract the good in life, by being grateful and changing your perspective on a daily basis? If so, can you share what you have learned about the law of attraction and positive perspective?

Do you also have any tips, on how to stay focused for helping to create an amazing day or simply achieving other objectives?

Double-Backed Pun -- Your Thoughts About Neurons May Very-Well Also Require Neuron Connectivity

After watching this video, I gave thought to the fact, that I was giving thought to the fact, that without the connection of my neurons, it would not be possible, for me, to
even be giving any thought to any fact about my neurons, or (for that matter) anything else. (And, I am being facetious, with deliberate redundancy -- for the sake of humor -- and showing how complex the scope of thought could get, for a brief, analytical moment.) (A mirror within a mirror; a thought 'within a thought' about, thinking about the capacity of neurons and the nature of thought.)

The animation of the video, presents a bit about the amazing nature/function of neurons, showing a visual of a network of neurons with sparkling light flashes, that look like the lights of fireflies, dancing in the night. You may agree with that comparison, if you do, watch the brief video about neurons, below.

Marie Forleo May Be 'Right On the Money' -- Regarding Her Money Maxims and Money Rituals

Marie Forleo chose to, proudly pick-up a penny from the ground. "Honest Abe", being on the 'honest penny' -- and the 'honest penny', being "honest money" that Marie, proudly does not resist, (according to her explanation in the video, below). After-all -- you do know what was said, about "a penny saved..." -- and, being receptive to "honest money", is a good habit, for training your brain for abundance; that is also, a part of what Marie explains, in her video.

She also talks about how she keeps her money "tight and right" -- that entails, not crumbling her money, and keeping it well-organized, (which, really shows the money respect -- "Money is like you and me. It's attracted to respect and appreciation." (and that saying, noted in the video, is quite an inspiring tip to remember and apply when the goal that we are trying to achieve, is a good relationship with money, and a goal, that is about attracting money and creating abundance.

Marie (also) asks her viewers, about some of their money rituals.

In regards to Marie Forleo's money sayings and money rituals... Would you say, that she is 'right on the money' also?

What are your thoughts about respecting and appreciating money?

Can you also see, that (metaphorically-speaking), money has 'dignity' too; and it appreciates to be treated well, in order for 'it' to treat others well (in-turn)?
